Mommy is on strike today!

There are dishes in the sink, and laundry to be done. You see mommy misses daddy. Day 108 was not starting out looking like very much fun. Mommy made a choice right then and there. This day was not a work day, things could be left undone.

Dentists & Fairy Tales! Or something like that! :)

Kicking back at the dentist today, oh ok so I was not kicking back. I was curling my toes, trying to pretend I did not feel the suction thingy (technical term there) jabbing my gum. Or smell all the antiseptic or hear the sound of the drill working away at my cavity. Just thinking about it makes me cringe and curl my toes all over again. Not a big fan of the dentist as you can tell. Ah but there I go totally off course. Maybe I have ADD, did you see that squirrel?

My plate is full and my cup runneth over! But, not in a good way. “Quick grab the napkins!”

We all have those days or weeks. You know the ones I’m talking about when the kids get sick, you have 5000 things on your “to do” list and then you get a flat tire or your car will not start. I have civilian friends that have this happen as well. But, For some reason It seems our spouses deploying is like an invitation for this. Are there magic fairy’s that run around posting signs next to us or in our yards as soon as our service members leave?

I'm doing it all wrong!

Last night, I spent some time looking at deployment blogs and forums and the conclusion I have come to is: I am doing it all wrong! Almost everything I read was hostile, angry and or depressed. Then I get on Face book and hear of a woman cheating on her Marine. There I was thinking I was handling this thing pretty darn well, all full of pride in myself. But it looks like I have it all backwards.
